More sculptures will be added to Urbandale’s public art collection
Two more bronze sculptures will be added to Urbandale’s public art collection. The City Council unanimously approved tonight the purchase of the sculptures from the Randolph Rose Collection, Inc. The money will come from funds allocated in the Capital Improvements Program for public art.
The “Summer Fun” sculpture, which includes a boy and girl holding a turtle while seated on a log, will be placed near Lakeview Pond. The “Leapfrog” sculpture of a girl jumping over the back of a boy will be put near the playground in Lions Park. The artwork will be delivered by April 2011.
