A Greco-Roman inspired bronze fountain depicting a cherub sitting atop a meticulously designed fish that faces upward as though rising from the water while he has another fish strapped to his back. This classical theme is drawn from Greco-Roman mythology and was favored during the Renaissance and 17th century. Designs like this bronze garden statue would be seen adorning fountains and buildings during that time.

The curious cherub opens the fish's mouth inspecting the teeth while a larger fish is beautifully crafted and seen attached to the boy's back. Both fish are designed to represent two different fish as though the cherub boy is collecting them. The swimming fish rises from a textured base that showcases wave-like features, an open seashell and a turtle to complete the aquatic setting.
